Adobe Creative Cloud "You Don't Have Access to Manage Apps" Error Message Solution

If you are unable to view the Apps Tab or if you receive the error message "You Don't Have Access to Manage Apps" after logging into the Desktop version of Creative Cloud, you will need to modify the ServiceConfig.xml file located in the following directories:

Windows - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\Configs\ServiceConfig.xml

Mac - /Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/Configs/ServiceConfig.xml

It will require administrator rights on your machine to modify the file

 

Windows

Step 1: Open file explorer to C:/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Adobe/OOBE/Configs

Step 2: Move the ServiceConfig.xml file to the Desktop and right-click the ServiceConfig.xml file. Then select open with Notepad

Step 3: Modify the string of text so that the highlighted area says true instead of false

Step 4: Save the file and move it back to the Configs folder

Step 5: Restart your Computer

 

Mac

Step 1: Using Finder, select Macintosh HD

Step 2: Select the folder named Library

Step 3: Select the Application Support folder

Step 4: Select the Adobe folder

Step 5: Select the OOBE folder

Step 6: Select the Configs folder

Step 7: Move the ServiceConfig.xml file to the Desktop

Step 8: Modify the ServiceConfig.xml file using Text Editor so that the visible element says true and then save changes

    </panel>

</config>

Step 9: Move the ServiceConfig.xml file back to the Configs folder

Step 10: Restart your machine
